about

In The City Of Blinding Lights.

I’m HERNEEMIX – Sound engineer and music producer born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I started my musical journey learning bass guitar and playing in local hard rock bands during my high school years.
As we embarked on recording our initial demos, I found myself drawn to the intricacies of the technical process more than the spotlight of the stage. This epiphany led me to pursue formal studies at Ce.Ar.Tec. Sound Engineering University in Buenos Aires, where after four years of dedicated learning, I proudly graduated with honors. Since then, I have had the privilege of working in many renowned studios, where I have engineered and mixed over 500 productions. Additionally, I have worked with hundreds of bands as FOH engineer, touring domestically and abroad.
Fate intertwined my path with the I’Oca Brothers during the fall of 2006. Chevi I’Oca and his younger sister Barbara, are two extremely talented musicians founders of the distinguished rock band called ANGELES. Since then, I’ve been entrusted with engineering and mixing their entire discography, including their solo endeavors.
Fast-forward to the spring of 2014, we founded Malana Records Production Company in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is where I spend most of my time when I’m not travelling. As I told you before, I am a nomadic Sound Engineer and fortunately, I have the chance to work in different places around the globe throughout the year. NYC, LA, Madrid and Milan are my preferred spots. This lifestyle offers me the invaluable opportunity to connect with diverse professionals, exchange visions, and immerse myself in different cultures – a perpetual wellspring of inspiration.
For me, the convergence of profession and passion is the pinnacle of fulfillment. And of course, helping artists to translate the sonic landscape they have in their minds is the most delightful feeling I sense from the other side of the glass.

Luckily, there is still a lot of great music to be recorded. Let’s join the joyride…
